Pretty sure you're right. I remember seeing that picture posted around the internet several times during the California Chrome craze back in 2014-16.katmandu wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2024 5:24 pmI do believe that's Art Sherman with Swaps in the shipping shot.brunanas wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2024 3:27 pm https://youtu.be/6DyiI523jqE?si=Yd-iQm45O5T1JzmN i always love watching this video when it's close to Kentucky Derby day

yeah anyone can edit PQ but this is right and the sires are right beside the winner so the best place IMO.

Forever Young looks good in this workout.CoronadosQuest wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2024 3:17 pm How do we feel about Forever Young's work today?

Per DRF's Mike Welsch:
6F 14.84 28.88 42.66 55.91 119.68 barely out of an open gallop for a half then set down...final 1/4 23.77
That's the Japanese way and he had the similar works both in Saudi Arabia and Dubai.
But we will not know if this Japanese routine is good enough in the US until one of the Japanese horses actually wins the Kentucky Derby! .

I also really enjoyed these photos by Barbara D. Livingston of Forever Young being frisky during his gallop:

I always love the photos and the updates by the great Barbara Livingston, too.
She kindly casts spotlights on the Japanese contenders every year!!!

Honor Marie worked stellar today! They were talking about him quite a bit on the Morning Works show.

Honor Marie the lone Derby worker this a.m. at CD 5F 35.15 59.32 pulled 4 lengths clear of SP 3yo work mate Agoo under urging to finish, galloped out 3/4's 1:12.78 up 7F 1:27.89.

I don’t know what work Mike Welsch was watching that he thought HM was under ANY urging…he was spectacular, did it all on his ownCoronadosQuest wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 10:09 am Honor Marie worked stellar today! They were talking about him quite a bit on the Morning Works show.

i remember when everyone (no one more than myself) was all over Cathryn Sophia til she ran third in her final prep for the oaks. i was so upset over how adamant everyone suddenly was that CS was a toss that i almost didn't watch the race, it would have broken my heart to watch them be right abt her. i tuned back in right as they broke and i think only her groom was crying harder than i was as she won quite strongly.
so it would be kind of funny if dornoch pulled that same trick.

I think he has zero chance to win because he isn't fast enough even if he gets a perfect trip, and he will not get a perfect trip. But that's nothing against the horse; he's neat, and it's pretty amazing to have full siblings compete in back-to-back runnings of the Derby.

Are all the horses at CD now? I haven't seen any sign or noise about West Saratoga yet, is he at CD?
