Yes as a fan of Snapper Sinclair I like the idea of his bloodline staying alive via fillies. There would be only one of this type of broodmare so it would be kind of like an anomaly to see his name in a pedigree. He was a hard knocker that just never got that GSW, it's a shame he wasn't able to sire a few more.

That is all.

I think it is easier to justify breeding a mare to keep the bloodline alive than breeding a stallion. Even if this filly doesn't make it to the track, no one is going to be offended if they turn her into a broodmare. However, is it realistic that an unraced son of Snapper Sinclair gets a shot as a stallion?
ah, that's a very good point. zenyatta's two were both gelded, no way that'd fly. thanks (mylute, too) for the insight.

A colt might have the same mutation and have problems with infertility. A filly won't as the mutation apparently only affects the ability for sperm to penetrate the egg.

Saw that on Twitter earlier today. Wonder if she'll stay black like dad or grey out like mom.

I've seen other pictures.

She is not a true black. True blacks are born a mousy grey color.

You can see the hyperpigmentation so she is a brown that will turn grey.
