I saw the older posts about Mexico, but has anyone found any other reliable resources for tracking runners and stallions there? I have a couple Arrogates I need to track there :)

The website I use to track race record by search of horses name

And type horse name in the box call “Cerca cavalier galoppo” and then it appear race record.

I can't find anything specific to Italy, that doesn't mean its not out there. Do you need to find the foal's names in order to use the above search? Because you can type the year of birth and dam's name in Equineline to see what the foal has been named. https://www.equineline.com/Free-5X-Pedigree.cfm

I found the Italian stud book search but I can't even see if it works because I can't think of any horses in Italy. I tried typing in some stallion names and it just doesn't do anything.

i don't think it works... i couldn't find any stallions that were for sure standing in Italy last year (because it was updated in October 2023, new stallions obviously wouldn't be there and the only names i could find were Morpheus and Kessaar. Kessaar for sure only entered stud there this year, i'm not sure about Morpheus — but he doesn't show up in the studbook either way) and then also searched for some big race winners but they don't show up either.

I tried El Kabeir cause he moved there in 2022 and was the only Italian stallion that Bloodhorse showed, but it didn't work.

If you click the Repertorio stalloni (Stallion repertoire), it brings up 11 pages of stallions. Problem is, I don't think it's been updated since about 2010. But if you want to look back that far, select the Discedenza (ancestry) and it'll give you the number of foals at least.

Thank you for your response.

I try this link of Unire.it you mention and search for dam progeny and it appears there so that is little help and it better than nothing as know what she produce.

E.g, looking at filly name Love And Pain who sold to Italy and raced there, progeny appears she had one foal to date.

It not a straightforward research from Italy but other country is fine with me when I need.

Does anyone know if there's a place to dig up pre-1970s race records? Equibase doesn't keep these.

There isn't for free, they keep those locked tightly behind the annual subscriptions of Equineline's Mare Produce Records or Brisnet's American Produce Records. pedigreequery if someone typed the record in but there is no guarantee that its right. Equineline shows the starts and highest achievement on the track on their 5x pedigree which at least will give an idea. You could also start a new post on Whatever Happened To and see if maybe someone on here has access to one of those services or even the hard copies that used to be produced.
