Dillon (Giant Surprise x Colorfull Seattle) is about to run in the 5th at BelmontatAqueduct, a 1 1/16-mile MSW on the turf for state bred 2yos. He is mostly a mottled white now, but Migliore just pointed out that he is registered as bay, despite looking nothing like a bay.

The best I could find is that 1 gns = 1.05 pound sterling. According to a currency converter on the web. 1.05 pound sterling is $1.28 US dollars. So multiply the gns price by 1.05 that will give you the price in pounds then you can use a currency converter to get the USD amount.

You multiply the guineas amount by 1.05 to get the amount in pounds, then do the conversion to dollars. 460,000gns is $587,695 and 250,000gns is $319,507 at today’s exchange rate.

I think Google may have been giving you the Guinean franc exchange rate.

Just saw this horse on tv out of the corner of my eye and looked him up and happily found a good pic.

I saw that race, and he ran fairly well. Was in the frame with the top 4-5, I think.

He was second, beaten five lengths. But it was his first run since April.

I love Strauss (and his face mark). :D
He is out of Blumenblatt(JPN)(Admire Vega) who won the G1 Mile Championship in her swansong 15 years ago!
Strauss is her first group winner.
