Missed to post this on the right day, but yesterday marked 5 years since we lost Pioneerof The Nile :(
Courtney Snow shared some lovely shots of him on facebook.

Paddington to shuttle to Windsor Park Stud in New Zealand.
They have a close relationship with Coolmore Ireland and have stood Montjeu, High Chaparral, Rip Van Winkle, Mastercraftsman, and Circus Maximus etc.

Ask me any questions you have about New Zealand and Australia racing

I still can't help wondering why they don't want to shuttle him to Coolmore Australia, instead. Is there a reason he's a better fit in NZ?

Yoshida, now in Japan, got his first stakes winner over the weekend when his son Okiro took the Animal Kingdom Stakes:

He looks great, its nice they did an update on him. If he was going to stud, he'd be at stud. I have a feeling the owner doesn't want to part with him and that is okay. She is very close to Emma and her foals. She also has his year older 1/2 brother, Theprinceofthebes, there. Though as far as I know there has been no update on him since Triple Tap was racing.

The reason I feel that way is, I really think someone would want to stand them. They stand unraced stallions with good sire siblings all the time in regional markets.

He’s 6. Perhaps he’s just a pet?

Coolmore Ireland stallion tour. They don't show all of them, mostly new.

They also have a Ballydoyle tour with Aidan O'Brien that I'm going to link in the Racing Forum, Across the Pond post.

Not really news, but I love this video of Lonhro (presumably this week) getting some carrots. Between this, the fact that he his old jockey was able to hop on him and go for a ride when Lonhro was pensioned, and just how stunning he is, he is just one of my favourites. Doesn’t need a chain over his nose to go out for a photo op. A lovely old gentleman.
