I guess this is big news because FL has been around since 1962 and only replaced its track announcer once, and that was when Ross Morton died. Well, the past couple of days, one Anthony Stabile (former trainer, I thinnk; hi name looks familiar) has been calling the races there, with Tony Calo MIA. Calo called the Turfway meet this winter. Is he working anywhere else this spring? Did FL let him go or did he leave on his own?

Looks like he moved on to the Kentucky circuit.

Here is the story on Stabile's new position. The other story was when he left NYRA.
Tony Calo is now doing the pre-race shows with Joe Kristufek and some others for the Churchill meet. He will then do the announcing at Ellis.
Scott Shapiro left the Churchill capping position due to health issues a few months back, which created the opening with Joe.
