Fast Anna was one of the kindest stallions I’ve ever met, so I’m very happy with this result and very sad it’s posthumous.

It also seems whenever I look at a nice winner lately, Uncle Mo is somewhere in there Anna's dam sire is Uncle Mo.Palace Malice wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 6:01 pm The Medaglia D'Oro line is really good at siring freak fillies! Great win by Thorpedo Anna.

Interesting that Thorpedo Anna's granddam, Pacific Sky, is a half sister to Eskendereya

There's all kinds of utterly utterly un-PC jokes one could make about such a name and its ramifications, but I won't.Palace Malice wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 6:03 pmAt least she is a filly. (Just on an aside, the Premio Regina Elena (Italian 1000 Guineas) was won by Beenham(IRE) and the Premio Parioli (Italian 2000 Guineas) was won by Melfi(IRE).)
I was rooting for Just F Y I, sort of. I'm guessing she hated the conditions? I would have, too, actually.

Yeah, Ian Thorpe was called The Thorpedo, so imho the name is very cool.

No, because NBC had to hold it hostage under their stupid Peacock service.

That didn't stop me from putting a WPS on him and screaming my head off for him to hold on though! I dunno why people haven't learned that its a mistake to completely discount the Japanese horses yet

McPeek ruled out the Black-Eyed Susan (G2) in two weeks at Pimlico as a possible next race. Instead, he said he might look at Belmont week in five weeks at Saratoga, where the Acorn (G1) would be the logical option.
“Ultimately I would like to get her to the Alabama (G1),” McPeek said, looking ahead to the Saratoga summer. “I would like to win another Alabama.”

I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.
