Lady Moscato takes an allowance at OAK for the Coach-impressive win by this daughter of Quality Road but did not like Keith Asmussen hitting her 3 times in quick succession in deep stretch when she was 6 or more lengths ahead. So unnecessary.

Frankie pulled a sort of Presious Passion on that field, winning on the other, other, other Chad Brown trainee.

Maybe he saw the ride on Pride of Jenni at Randwick this morning and thought "you know what... that could work"BaroqueAgain1 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 5:37 pm Frankie pulled a sort of Presious Passion on that field, winning on the other, other, other Chad Brown trainee.

Adare Manor went to the front (there is a theme this weekend), stayed there, shrugged off any challenge and won pulling away.
Beware a Baffert at Oaklawn.

It's always awesome to see, especially if a small time owner is involved.barbaro111 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 7:19 pmI love the story of Free Like A Girl- purchased for 5500.00- has earned over a million and she is now stakes placed. Just a lovely story

So happy for Adare Manor. While I don’t support Baffert or anything he does, I love that horse.

Medoro (Honor Code x Achira [English Channel]) wins the 1 1/8-mile G3 Providencia Stakes (T) for 3yo fillies at Santa Anita in a bob over Shiloh's Mistress.
Now that Honor Code is settled in Japan, it feels like we are seeing good winners from him every week here. Figures.

Medoro is now 4-4, winning the Providencia for her first graded stakes win.
This filly is all heart - she overcomes anything asked of her. Today she had to stay up close since the speed of the race scratched, and the valiant runner up set very slow fractions.
Love this filly !

I was upset when HC was sold, but he was unwanted here, and he’s booked full in Japan, so I’m happy about it now

I really dislike TVG …if you’re going to comment about a horse, be correct. It’s true the filly has won most of her races by narrow margins, but it’s not true she doesn’t have a burst. In this particular case, jock kept her up close to a very close pace - not her style at all.

Undefeated (3 starts) UAE Oaks(G3) winner, Manama Gold(Star Guitar - Charged Cotton, by Dehere), a full sister to Ova Charged, the freak Louisiana bred turf sprinter, has been transferred to Pletcher for the Oaks. I don't think anyone thought she was coming and even CD had removed her from the Oaks point list. With 50 points, I think her stakes earnings put her in the race. She hasn't raced since February 23rd...

Have to admit I wasn't expecting to see Star Guitar as the sire of a UAE Oaks winner.
Interesting.
