Maria Borell’s trial on animal cruelty charges is scheduled for May 18. I hope she is finally held accountable.

He literally strangled his woman I feel no pity for him. He needs to leave horse racing.

Well then this could have been written 6 months ago. I know he was alleged to have strangled his significant other just as now it is being alleged he didn’t show yesterday due to the brown bottle flu. How often do you post in this thread about Chad Brown?

He is apparently feeling better, since he is riding Very Scary in the upcoming Royal Heroine at Santa Anita.

Former WV trainer charged with animal cruelty.

I hate this so much. If they had just taken the freaking horses when he said that he couldn't afford veterinary care for the horses, at least 2 of them would still be alive. Then he was just going out and shooting them... I just can't.

Rick Dutrow is back. I hope he has figured out a way to stay organized and up to date on medication changes and rules since he was gone. https://www.thoroughbreddailynews.com/r ... s-to-work/

Tom Amoss not having a great past few weeks. First Hoosier Philly and Curly Jack both fail to live up to early promise. Now another medication violation with a “ deferred penalty”. Not sure what to think here- he seems like a nice guy. https://paulickreport.com/news/the-biz/ ... a-blocker/

Jimmy Jerkens moving to Saudi Arabia to train for 2 years. Hope he has good success there, after struggling here the last several years. He seems like a good old school trainer. https://www.drf.com/news/jimmy-jerkens- ... udi-arabia

Scary sign of the times when a trainer of his talent and pedigree can't make it over here. Wishing him all the best in Saudi Arabia, I'm sure they made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

I just watched a hurdle race at Warrambull (hope I didn't mangle the spelling too much) won impressively by Teofilo Star...ridden by Nash Rawiller.
Nash is a top flat jockey Down Under, so I was a little surprised to see him riding this hurdle race. I'm used to riders specializing in either flat or jumps (esp in Britain), but Nash didn't look inexperienced. It was easy to study his style, since he had his mount in front from early on. And that man scarcely moved. His back was flat, he was low, steady, balanced, and I swear his back didn't even rise over the jumps. Admittedly, the hurdle fences weren't very high, and TS was a very economical jumper. 8-)
