Teena Ella (War Front x BEHOLDER) just ran in the G3 Angel's Flight Stakes down the hill at Santa Anita, and finished 2nd to Fast and Shiny, a rare Baffert grass runner.

the Angel's Flight is a listed race, not a G3!

she actually looked quite good. she was gaining at the end, she was really trying.

i'll always wonder how zenyatta's kids would be, with another trainer...

Or maybe in the grass? Cause isn't Mandela her trainer? I feel like though he doesn't train her babies like they are her. Maybe it's just those two were duds. I hope she gets bred to gun runner

As for Zenyatta, both Cozmic One and Ziconic both ran on the turf a couple times. Zellda never ran after being at the track for 3-4 years and Zilkha looks to be going that way too. She has only worked 4 times, May 25, June 6, September 11 and October 26.

I don't understand why they waste the time money and resources doing that. They'd be better off training her babies to be competition horses at this point

Teena Ella ran a tad green, but she’s quick and hard-trying. So fun to see Beholder produce a stakes filly!

She was bred to Gun Runner last year to foal this year but came up barren; such a shame. I do hope they try sending her to him again. With his early success, I'm sure they will.

Disappointed with Zilkha was hoping she would be the one to break the curse. I remember everyone raving about her early on then she kind of disappeared.
