Amelie, Distorted Humor x Azeri, was the fav for a 1400m dirt allowance for fillies and mares, 7R, at Hanshin last Saturday, but finished 10th.

She showed a good early speed, as usual, to lead the field up to the final corner, and then began to struggle to keep the lead near the final furlong pole, but couldn't (no injury reported after the race).

Probably off her form, but this defeat may be too hard to swallow because there was almost no point to be positive about. Too negative? Hope I'm wrong.

Time flies when you are having fun, looks like she went to Hat Trick(JPN) for a 2014- not sure if that was posted somewhere already or not.

Storm Swept, a Pletcher firster broke her maiden in her debut. Race 1, Wednesday at Belmont going a mile. She closed nicely, and looks to have a bright future. She's a Stormy Atlantic filly o/o a half sister to Unbridled Time.

Mr. Speaker finished 3rd.
Point Hope finished 4th.
Request a VERY nice winner, closing from last. I always bet a big D on the turf. Hopefully he can make the BC Juvenile Turf. He's got a great closing kick from what I saw, and has as good a chance as any to win :)

Epiphaneia got off to an excellent start, as he captured the G2 Kobe Shimbun Hai 2400m very easily today! :D

Epiphaneia: #10 horse

Epiphaneia was a bit unlucky this Spring, especially when he had to finish second to Kizuna, the recent G2 Prix Niel winner in France, in the Japanese Derby in May. He stumbled badly in the back stretch and his jockey Fukunaga almost fell.

1st. Kizuna (#1) Yutaka Take
2nd. Epiphaneia (#9) Yuichi Fukunaga

I believe that Epiphaneia is one of the best Japanese 3yos this year along with Kizuna.
The son of Cesario should redeem himself!!
