For those handicapping and curious about Forever Young... here is Forever Young working out back in December so you can see how he worked back then

Wonder if they are going to the lead?CoronadosQuest wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2024 11:20 am The more I see T O Password, the more I like him plus I think Kimura Kazushi is a very talented jockey.

Question of the day, I think. Honestly, the pace of the Derby will either be suicidal or people will think it will be and not a single soul will go with DornochSqueaky wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2024 12:04 pmWonder if they are going to the lead?CoronadosQuest wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2024 11:20 am The more I see T O Password, the more I like him plus I think Kimura Kazushi is a very talented jockey.

I saw on DRF that T O Password's trainer sees his horse sitting midpack, which is realistic. He led in his first two starts, but gunning to challenge American speed just isn't a recipe for success here.
Encino scratching removes some speed, Epic Ride drawing in adds some speed. Pretty much a wash from a race shape perspective.

Nice read on Dornoch and other pairs of siblings who have run in the derby.

Oh that is good to know. I have been really drawn to him and I really like his jockey so he may be my longshot play. I assume most people will write him off so his odds will be really high.Tessablue wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2024 1:40 pm I saw on DRF that T O Password's trainer sees his horse sitting midpack, which is realistic. If you are a Forever Young fan, this may be a perk!

Obviously Fierceness no longer in post 17 is a talking point, but #11 Forever Young a big winner here, as he now is in post 10, which means he is the last to load instead of the first.

He will also be starting from the same post as Sunday Silence, from what I hear. Good juju occurring.CoronadosQuest wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2024 3:17 pm If you are a Forever Young fan, this may be a perk!

Aww. I was a fan too, he was really tall and narrow when he raced. Looks like he filled out.Mylute wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2024 4:13 pm Kentucky Derby Alum Suddenbreakingnews Living The Pensioner's Life In West Texas

Great stuff, thanks for posting it! I really don't have any horses I'm fervently rooting for this year (maybe Fierceness, as my consolation Forte), but West Saratoga and Resilience are both so likeable.Starine wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2024 7:29 pm Who I'm Rooting For: Top Feel-Good Stories Of Kentucky Derby 150
